Maginnis Connell is a passionate and motivated individual with a strong background of working with children with disabilities. While studying at university degree, Maginnis worked as a disability support worker and engaged in voluntary work organising annual holiday camps for children with disabilities. She has extensive experience working with children with a range of disabilities, including but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual impairment and social and behavioural challenges, and with their families.
In December 2019 Maginnis graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (honours) from the University of Queensland, She has been a valued member of the Kids Play team throughout 2020 and into 2021.
While working at Kids Play, Maginnis has further developed her skills across a range of areas in order to support children and their families in developing the skills they need to complete day-to-day activities, develop social and play skills, and increase independence.
Maginnis has experience in the following areas.
Maginnis's special areas of interest include
Autism spectrum disorder, early intervention, sensory processing difficulties, developmental delays, emotional regulation, toileting challenges and fine motor/handwriting difficulties.
